Urge Lawmakers in Washington to include the Artistic Community in the Trillion Dollar COVID-19 Relief
As a long time member of The Recording Academy and an executive in the music industry, I understand the affects to musicians during this Coronavirus epidemic.
I joined my fellow Recording Academy members in writing a formal letter to our Congressional leadership to include musicians in the COVID-19 plan.
Artists make much of their money by participating live performances. Furthermore, there are local acts who play gigs to survive and pay bills. Not all recording artists are multi-millionaires.
I know Congressman Meeks is a strong supporter of the music community in Jamaica, Queens. He will not let your voice go unheard in Washington.
